Wade Hawkins  Pleasantdale Farm      Woodstock, Virginia

Pleasantdale Farm is a true family affair. The farm was purchased in the 1940’s by Wade’s grandfather and Wade took over the farm from his father a few years ago. Wade says that, “farming is in my blood,” and this can been seen as his three young children push up silage for the cattle in the finishing barn. Pleasantdale farm produces nearly 90% of feed the operation uses each year. Several hundred angus and angus cross cattle graze the over 300 acres that is forever protected by a conservation easement as of 2014.
